In your final year, the Capstone AI Innovation Project provides an opportunity to independently design, develop and evaluate an AI-based solution.

Entry Requirements

To study the BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence, you will typically need:

  • 112 UCAS Tariff points from a combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications
  • A maximum of six UCAS points may be accepted from Level 3 Key Skills qualifications
  • GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or Grade 4 or above, or equivalent Level 2 Key Skills in Communication and Application of Number

Students can use the UCAS Tariff system to determine how their qualifications translate into UCAS points.

Applicants with other qualifications may also be considered, subject to the relevant admissions requirements.

English Language Requirements

If English is not your first language, you will need to meet the required English language standard.

The stated IELTS requirement is:

IELTS 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.

A range of other recognised English language tests and qualifications may also be accepted.

Students should confirm that their qualification meets the required English language standard before applying.

Accreditation of Prior Learning

Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) may allow students to receive credit towards their course for relevant knowledge or experience gained previously.

This may include:
