Course Structure

This master’s degree is studied full-time over one year.

You’ll complete four modules—three core and one optional—alongside a major dissertation or a live consultancy project. The programme is designed to challenge you with a higher level of independent reading, research, and critical thinking than an undergraduate degree.

Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, case studies, group work, interactive sessions, and directed independent study. Case-based learning helps you apply theory to real or realistic scenarios, enabling you to:

Core Modules

Strategic Management and Foresight (30 credits)

Develop your strategic leadership capabilities and learn how to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to disruption in a digitally connected global landscape. You’ll explore sustainability, foresight, and organisational resilience, and take part in a group problem-based learning challenge where you solve a business issue and present your solution.

International Marketing (30 credits)

Analyse the strategies and decision-making processes behind successful global marketing. You’ll explore how brands create value across cultures and markets, and take part in a business simulation where you design, launch, and compete with your own brand in global marketplaces.

International Business in Context (30 credits)

Examine the impact of globalisation and digital transformation on international business. Learn how to craft innovative and sustainable strategies, critically evaluate leadership approaches, and develop the skills needed to manage diverse stakeholders across international settings.

International Business Management Research Project (60 credits)

Undertake an independent, analytical, and in-depth investigation into an international business topic of your choice—demonstrating your ability to research, evaluate, and propose strategic solutions.

Optional Modules

Financial Decision-Making in a Multinational Corporation (30 credits)

Gain advanced skills in analysing financial information and learn the essential tools used to manage finances in global organisations.

HRM in an International and Digital Context (30 credits)

Explore cultural, ethical, institutional, and demographic influences on global HRM. Understand the complexities of managing people across borders in an increasingly digital world.

Entry Requirements

To join this course, you need:

  • A 2:2 honours degree or equivalent professional qualification

  • English language proficiency (IELTS 6.0 with no component below 5.5)

A wide range of international English qualifications is also accepted.

Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL)

If you have relevant prior study or professional experience, you may be eligible for credit that reduces the modules you need to take.
